Oh The Boasts You Will Hear!

Oh The Boasts You Will Hear!

In a Hall with big claps and a bright shiny glow,
With flags and with cameras—now it’s time for the show!
“Believe me” boomed the voice, “we’re back in the race—
With a pep in our step and the wind in our face!

The border’s got guards and fences that latch.
The prices slide downward—no gimmick, no catch!
The gas in your tanks? Not six—more like two!
And the markets are doing the up-and-up too!

The state of the Union is shining so bright—
So who do we thank for this wonderful sight?

Who fixed every fix and who won every win?
Who walked in the door and perfection kicked in!
If something went right—well, that happened because
Of yours truly, of course, with my tremendous buzz!
The sun learned to shine when I gave it a cue,
And history clapped and said, “Wow—look at you!”

But amid all the noise and the boastful display,
One silence grew larger the more he did say.
No talk of the files, not once were they named,
No actual monsters acknowledged or blamed.
Instead, paper beasts were paraded with care—
Loud shadows invented so truth stayed elsewhere.

He warned of trans children and terror abroad,
With Iran as the menace that we need to prod
He spoke of cartels and of cities run wild,
By Democrats painted as recklessly mild.
All these villains were stitched into one great design—
A grab-bag of fears in a very straight line.

To show America is good—and always has been—
and that the world stands in debt for the gifts we sent in.
We fixed every corner, north, south, far and wide,
The whole hemisphere steadied with us as the guide.
And with banners held high and our virtues on tour,
We’ll save the whole West now by being so… sure.
